Measures low-value DC resistance from 1 mΩ to 20.0 kΩ with four-wire precision and 200 stored readings
The ETCR 3620 is a handheld DC low-value resistance tester designed for electricians and maintenance engineers. It measures contact resistance on switches, connectors and relays, plus winding resistance on motors and transformers. The 4-wire measurement method with simultaneous AC/DC detection supports precision work on ground grids and metal riveting. A rechargeable 7.4 V 2000 mAh lithium battery powers the unit.
The instrument draws test currents matched to each range, from 1.2 A on the 200 mΩ range down to 2.1 mA on the 20 kΩ range. No fan or active cooling is mentioned, so operation stays silent in normal use. Battery power avoids mains noise and lets the tester work in remote locations. The backlit display remains readable in dim environments.
Up to 200 measurement groups are retained even after power loss or battery replacement. Two 0.8 m red and black test lead sets are included for immediate 4-wire connection. The calibration function improves accuracy across all six ranges spanning 1 mΩ to 20.0 kΩ. Buyers needing wireless logging or PC software integration should look elsewhere.

Plug both red and black lead sets into the four terminals, then use the swift line resistance calibration before measuring so the lead resistance is cancelled out.
The 7.4 V 2000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery will degrade with charge cycles and is the only consumable component listed.
Sustained use at the 1.2 A test current on the lowest range will heat the battery and leads, so the thermal limit of the power supply appears first.
