What this cable is and who it is for

This USB-C to USB-C cable carries 60 W of power and USB 2.0 data at 480 Mbps. It suits anyone charging a phone, tablet or laptop from a USB-C wall adapter while staying up to 15 feet away from the socket.

Practical limits of the USB 2.0 interface

Data moves at 480 Mbps, which equals roughly 40 to 60 MB per second. The link cannot reach USB 3.0 or 3.1 speeds, so large file transfers and high-bandwidth video output are not supported.

What it replaces and when the jump is worth it

It replaces shorter or lower-wattage cords that restrict placement or charge too slowly. The upgrade makes sense when you need 15 feet of reach and 60 W delivery without paying for faster data rates you will not use.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 15ft length or a shorter cable for my setup?

The 15ft length lets you use a phone or laptop on a sofa or bed while it charges from a distant wall outlet. Shorter cables limit that reach.

What does the 60W rating mean when I plug this into my MacBook Pro 2021?

It delivers up to 60W of power, enough to charge a 13‑inch or 14‑inch MacBook Pro at full speed while you work.

The cable is USB 2.0 — what does that cap in practice?

Data transfer tops out at 480 Mbps, so large file moves are slower than with USB 3.0 or 3.1 cables, but charging still reaches 60W.
