40 ft HDMI cable with Ethernet

The Ethereal MHX-LHDME12 is a 40 ft HDMI High Speed cable with Ethernet. Male-to-male connectors link source and display devices across longer runs. It suits home cinema, projector installations or any setup needing extended reach. The black jacket blends into most AV environments.

Signal integrity and shielding

Multi-layer shielding protects the 10.2 Gbps signal from interference over the full length. 24K gold-plated Grip-Lox connectors resist corrosion and maintain contact quality. The design handles increased tensile pull tension without risking damage to connected equipment ports. Audio return channel support simplifies system wiring.

Build integration and physical fit

At 12 metres the cable bridges gaps between rack-mounted gear and wall-mounted displays. Male-to-male terminals plug directly into standard HDMI ports without adapters. Ethernet capability carries network data alongside video, reducing separate cable runs. The fixed length requires accurate distance planning before installation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Grip-Lox connectors on this 40 ft cable without damaging the ports?

Align each 24K gold-plated male HDMI plug straight with the port, press firmly until the Grip-Lox mechanism clicks, and avoid angling the connector which can bend pins or stress the jack.

What maintenance will the multi-layer shielding and gold-plated contacts need over time?

Dust the connectors occasionally with compressed air; the shielding requires no service, and the gold plating resists oxidation so no contact cleaner is needed under normal indoor use.

At what signal demand does the 10.2 Gbps bandwidth limit appear first during sustained use?

The 10.2 Gbps ceiling is reached with 4K UHD signals that exceed this data rate; the cable carries lower-bandwidth 4K or 1080p content continuously without hitting the limit.
