Palm Vein Recognition Smart Lock

The eufy FamiLock S3 combines a deadbolt, 2K HDR camera and doorbell in one ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 unit. It unlocks in .6 seconds using forgery-proof palm vein patterns stored locally on the device. The system supports up to 50 enrolled users for keyless entry.

Door Compatibility and Power Limits

Installation requires a standard door thickness between 35 and 55 mm and is not recommended where a storm door blocks the camera view. A 15000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery provides up to four months of operation, with four AAA cells adding another month if the main pack is depleted.

Matter Protocol Integration

The lock connects to Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings through Matter for cross-platform automation. It also links to eufy HomeBase 3 for advanced AI features, but cannot join HomeBase 3 and an external Matter gateway at the same time.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 15,000 mAh rechargeable pack or the four AAA cells for longer runtime?

The lock runs on the 15,000 mAh lithium battery for up to four months; the four AAA cells only activate as backup and add roughly one more month.

What does the 2K HDR camera with 150° vertical and 180° diagonal view actually show on my phone?

You get a head-to-toe, low-light capable live feed with minimal blind spots so you can see packages and visitors clearly.

How does Matter support limit what I can connect at the same time?

The lock works with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings via Matter, but it cannot link to HomeBase 3 and an external Matter gateway simultaneously.
