Compact powered monitor for stage and small venues

The Electro-Voice PXM-12MP is a 12-inch powered coaxial monitor built for musicians, bands, small venues and rental houses. It works as a floor wedge angled at 55° or mounts on a speaker stand via its integrated pole cup for use as fills, delays or a main PA. A 700W Class-D amplifier drives the coaxial driver for clean, powerful output.

Upgrade from passive wedges or basic active speakers

This unit replaces passive floor monitors that require separate amplification and EQ racks. The jump is worth it when you need an all-in-one box with built-in DSP, a feedback notch filter and adjustable high-pass filter in a single enclosure. It also supersedes simple active speakers that lack the coaxial single-point source design and subwoofer-matching LPFs for 3-way system integration.

Check power, mounting

Verify you have access to mains power for the internal amplifier at the intended position. Confirm the 55° wedge angle suits your stage layout and that a standard speaker stand is available if pole-mounting is required. Ensure your mixer or source can feed a line-level signal compatible with the onboard DSP presets and user-recall functions.

Questions about this item

What angle does the floor wedge project sound at?

The floor wedge angles up 55° so musicians can hear themselves without blocking sightlines.

How is the powered monitor installed on a speaker stand?

A pole cup on the enclosure accepts a standard speaker stand; secure the monitor onto the stand pole and tighten the locking screw before powering on.

What maintenance will the coaxial driver need over time?

The 1.75″ high-frequency driver inside the 12″ woofer has no user-serviceable parts; keep the grille clean and have a qualified technician inspect the driver if output changes.
