Catalyst 2960L 48-port managed switch

The EVESKY Catalyst 2960L-48TS-LL is a managed Layer 2 switch with 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports. It runs Cisco IOS L software and includes an internal power supply in a 1U rack-mountable chassis. The unit measures 17.5 in wide, 9.4 in deep and 1.7 in high, weighing 7.21 lbs. A mean time between failures of 2,412,947 hours is specified.

Suited for small to mid-size wired LANs

This switch fits networks that need 48 copper Gigabit connections with managed features such as VLANs, QoS and security policies. It is not for installations that require Power over Ethernet, SFP or SFP+ uplinks, 10 Gigabit ports, Layer 3 routing or stacking capability. Buyers needing fanless silence or a desktop form factor should consider other options.

48 x 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports

The single specification that decides fit is the port count and speed: 48 fixed 10/100/1000 copper ports with no modular uplinks. Confirm that your cabling and rack space match the 1U dimensions and that managed Layer 2 features satisfy the network design.
