Enterprise Stackable Switch

The EVESKY Catalyst 3750X-48P is a managed Layer 3 switch built for enterprise networks that require high availability and scalability. It delivers 48 PoE+ copper ports in a 1U rack-mountable chassis designed for wiring closets and data centres.

Port Speed Constraints

Each of the 48 ports negotiates at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so the maximum throughput per connection is 1 Gbps. The fixed configuration does not support 10 GbE uplinks or modular expansion, limiting aggregate bandwidth to the backplane capacity of the stack.

Upgrade From Layer 2 Stacks

This unit replaces standalone Layer 2 switches that lack routing, StackPower redundancy or MACsec encryption. The jump is justified when IP telephony, wireless controllers or video endpoints need PoE+ power and Layer 3 segmentation without adding a separate router.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 48-port PoE+ model or a non-PoE version for my rack?

The WS-C3750X-48P-S provides 48 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports with PoE+ on every port; select it when you need to power IP phones, wireless access points or cameras directly from the switch.

What does the 10/100/1000 rating mean once the switch is installed?

Each port auto-negotiates at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so legacy 10 Mbps devices, Fast Ethernet gear and Gigabit endpoints all connect at their highest supported speed without manual configuration.

How does the 802.3 PoE+ standard limit what I can plug in?

IEEE 802.3at PoE+ caps power per port at a higher level than basic PoE, allowing devices such as PTZ cameras and dual-radio access points that exceed the older 802.3af limit while staying within the switch's total power budget.
