Hot-plug redundant power supply delivers 1000 Watt at AC 100-240 V for Catalyst 9200 and 9200L switches
The EVESKY PWR-C5-1KWAC= is a 1000 W AC hot-plug power supply module designed for Catalyst 9200 and 9200L switches. It accepts a 100-240 V input and delivers redundant power capacity for compatible 48-port PoE switches. Network administrators use it to maintain uptime during module replacement.
The module operates within the switch chassis using the system's integrated airflow design. Power draw scales with the connected PoE load up to the 1000 W rating. Acoustic output depends on the host switch fan profile rather than the module itself. Hot-plug capability allows installation without powering down the switch.
This module replaces a failed PWR-C5-1KWAC= unit or upgrades a switch running a lower-capacity power supply when PoE demand increases. The jump is worth it when connected devices exceed the existing supply's budget or when redundancy is required for critical network segments. Compatibility is limited to the listed Catalyst 9200 and 9200L models.

Slide the module into the power-supply bay until the latch clicks, then verify the status LED turns green; the step often missed is confirming the latch is fully engaged before applying load.
The internal fan is the only field-replaceable component; plan to swap the fan assembly if bearing noise appears or airflow drops below the switch’s thermal threshold.
Continuous draw above 1000 W triggers over-current protection and shuts the module down; the 9200-48P chassis will then rely on the redundant unit if installed.
