Two-way RJ11 splitter for dual devices

This RJ11 6P4C adapter splits one wall jack into two female sockets so a landline phone and a fax or modem can share the same line. The 20 cm cable tail gives a little reach without adding clutter. It is aimed at home offices, small businesses and call-centre desks that need a second device on a single port.

Passive wiring with oxygen-free copper conductors

The splitter uses polyethylene and PVC insulation around oxygen-free copper to keep signal attenuation low and resist interference during sustained use. No active electronics are present, so performance depends entirely on the quality of the incoming line and the attached cables. The 6-position 4-conductor layout matches standard RJ11 wiring.

Replaces single-port wall plates for multi-device

It upgrades a single RJ11 outlet into two connection points, removing the need to swap cables between a phone and a fax or VoIP adapter. The jump is worthwhile when two devices must stay online simultaneously. It will not suit installations that require more than two ports or that use 2-wire only equipment, which may see degraded signalling.

Questions about this item

Does the 20 cm cable run warm when two phones are connected all day?

No, the splitter is a passive adapter with no power supply, so it generates no heat during continuous use.

What cables must I already have to plug two devices into this splitter?

You need two standard RJ11 6P4C cables to connect your phones or fax machines to the two female ports.

Will my older 2-wire telephone work reliably with the 6P4C wiring?

The product notes possible incompatibility with some 2-wire devices, so signal quality may be affected on older handsets.
