SKU CH-ATYW-JWRKS

Managed Gigabit switch with 48 PoE+ ports, four SFP uplinks and a 370 W power budget

  • 48 PoE+ ports power phones, cameras and APs directly from the switch
  • 370 W PoE budget supports dense endpoint deployments without extra injectors
  • Four 1 G SFP uplinks connect to core switches or fibre links
  • Gigabit Ethernet on every port delivers 10/100/1000 speeds to each device
  • Managed Layer 2 features enable VLANs, QoS and secure access control

Entry-Level Managed PoE+ Switch

The WS-C2960L-48PS-LL is a Catalyst 2960-L switch with 48 ports that operate at 10/100/1000 speeds and support PoE+. It also provides four Gigabit SFP uplink ports and a total PoE budget of 370 W. The unit is managed and runs LAN Lite software for Layer 2 access. Its enclosure allows desktop or rack-mount installation.

Suited For Simple Managed Access

This switch suits branch offices and conventional workspaces that need managed Layer 2 connectivity with PoE+ for devices such as IP phones or cameras. It is not for buyers who need Layer 3 routing features. It is not for environments that require a PoE budget above 370 W. It is not for deployments that demand 10 GbE uplinks.

Deciding Specification: 370 W PoE Budget

The 370 W PoE budget determines how many powered devices can run simultaneously at full PoE+ output. Calculate the total draw of your endpoints against this figure before purchase. If the sum exceeds 370 W, this switch cannot power all ports at maximum PoE+ capacity.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 48-port PoE+ model or a smaller switch for my deployment?

This model provides 48 PoE+ ports plus four SFP uplinks; select it when you need to power many devices such as phones or cameras from a single switch.

What does the 370 W PoE budget mean once the switch is installed?

The 370 W budget is the total power available for all 48 PoE+ ports combined, so the actual per-port power depends on how many devices you connect and their individual draw.

How do the 1G SFP uplinks limit real-world throughput?

Each SFP uplink runs at 1 Gbps, so aggregate uplink capacity is capped at 4 Gbps and any traffic exceeding that will queue or drop.
