Grey metal rack-mount switch with 24 front ports and two uplink slots

EVESKY

EVESKY WS-C2960S-24TD-L 24-port 10/100/1000 network switch

SKU CH-N0GB-H5242

Layer 2 switch with 24 Gigabit ports, two 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks, 176 Gbps throughput and 65.5 Mpps forwarding

  • 24 Gigabit copper ports connect workstations and APs directly
  • Two SFP+ uplinks carry 10 Gbps fibre or 1 Gbps copper links
  • 176 Gbps switching capacity handles peak traffic without blocking
  • 5 Mpps forwarding rate keeps latency low for small packets
  • 39 W power draw reduces rack energy costs

WS-C2960S-24TD-L Layer 2 switch

The EVESKY WS-C2960S-24TD-L is a Catalyst 2960-S Layer 2 switch with 24 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports and two dual-purpose uplinks that accept either 10 Gigabit SFP+ or 1 Gigabit SFP modules. It delivers 176 Gbps switching capacity and 65.5 Mpps forwarding performance for 64-byte packets.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This switch fits networks that need 24 copper Gigabit ports plus flexible fibre or copper uplinks in a 1 U form factor consuming 39 W. It is not for buyers who require Layer 3 routing, Power over Ethernet, or more than two uplink ports.

The specification that decides fit

The dual-purpose uplink design means each uplink bay activates either a 10 Gigabit SFP+ or a 1 Gigabit SFP module, not both simultaneously, so uplink bandwidth and media type must be planned per port.

Questions about this item

What does the 176 Gbps switching capacity mean for real-world throughput?

The 176 Gbps figure is the total internal fabric bandwidth. With 24 active 10/100/1000 ports and two uplinks, it provides non-blocking performance for all ports running at full Gigabit speed simultaneously.

How do the dual-purpose uplink ports work and what speeds do they support?

The switch has two dual-purpose uplinks; each can run as one 10 Gigabit SFP+ or one 1 Gigabit SFP, with only one connector active per port at any time.

What are the physical dimensions and weight for rack mounting?

The unit measures 44.5 × 38.6 × 4.5 cm and weighs 10.65 kg, fitting a standard 1U rack height.
