Excell PK-9-BG Pocket Safety Knife

The Excell PK-9-BG is a retractable box cutter designed for general-purpose opening of boxes and packages. Its metal construction provides durability for daily use in office, warehouse or home environments. The compact size allows the knife to fit comfortably in a pocket for easy access. A safety spring-locked blade mechanism keeps the blade covered until actively deployed.

Cutting capacity and blade control

The utility knife handles standard cardboard, tape and packaging materials encountered in routine box-opening tasks. The blade locks open during use to prevent accidental retraction while cutting through thicker cartons. It is not intended for heavy-duty industrial materials, dense plastics or precision craft work requiring a fixed or articulated blade. The retractable design limits cut depth to the exposed blade length.

Metal build and pocket carry

The all-metal frame withstands regular handling without cracking or flexing common in plastic-bodied cutters. No powered components mean there is no heat, noise or electrical draw to consider during operation. The spring-lock mechanism operates mechanically with a positive click, adding negligible resistance. Its slim profile carries unobtrusively in a pocket or tool pouch.

Questions about this item

Can the Excell PK-9-BG Pocket Safety Utility Knife sit alongside my older desk scissors without taking up much drawer space?

Yes, its pocket-sized metal frame is compact enough to store in a drawer or cup alongside traditional scissors and trimmers without crowding them.

How do I know the safety spring-locked blade on the Excell PK-9-BG is engaging correctly after I start using it?

The blade should only extend when you press the slider and automatically retract when released; if it stays exposed without the slider held, the spring mechanism needs attention.

What comes in the box with the Excell PK-9-BG and do I need to buy replacement blades separately?

The knife ships as a single unit with a blade installed; replacement blades are not included and must be purchased separately when the original dulls.
