4K Dual-Monitor KVM Dock

The Explus-C KVM switch links one laptop and one desktop to two HDMI monitors, three 10 Gbps USB ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an audio jack and 15 W charging. It combines KVM switching with USB-C docking so users can share displays, storage, cameras and printers between the two computers without re-plugging cables.

Office and creative setups

Suits users who run a laptop and a desktop side by side and want instant switching on dual 4K screens with EDID emulation. Not for buyers who need more than two video outputs, higher refresh rates than 4K 60 Hz on the primary monitor, or a switch that supports three or more source computers.

Dual 4K 60 Hz limitation

When both HDMI outputs are active the first monitor reaches 4K at 60 Hz while the second is limited to 4K at 30 Hz or 2K at 60 Hz, a constraint that decides whether the unit fits a given dual-display workflow.

Questions about this item

Does the 15 W USB charging port add noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day use?

The unit has no fan and the 15 W charging circuit is low-power, so it stays cool and silent even when a phone or tablet charges continuously.

Which cables and host ports must I already have to connect both a laptop and a desktop to the dual-HDMI KVM?

You need two HDMI 2.0 cables (included) for the monitors, a USB-C cable with Thunderbolt or full-feature USB-C for the laptop, and standard USB-A plus HDMI outputs on the desktop.

Will my older 1080p 60 Hz monitors work correctly with the EDID simulation on this 4K KVM?

Yes, the EDID emulator presents a stable 4K signal to each host while downscaling to 1080p 60 Hz on the displays, so no re-arrangement is needed when switching.
