Precision Point Eraser 8473

The EXPO 8473KF is a dry-erase board eraser designed for office and classroom environments. Its distinctive tear-drop shape allows precise cleaning in corners and along edges. The tool suits users who need to maintain whiteboards without leaving residual ink streaks.

Replaceable 8-layer Felt Pad

Sustained performance relies on the peel-off pad system rather than a fixed surface. When the top felt layer saturates with ink, it removes cleanly to reveal a fresh layer beneath. This design maintains consistent erasing pressure across extended sessions without the declining efficiency of single-layer erasers.

Felt Contact Surface Limits

The felt material works only with standard dry-erase marker ink on non-porous whiteboard surfaces. It cannot remove permanent marker, grease pencil or dried residue without chemical cleaners. The 4.5 by 9.1 inch footprint covers limited area per pass, so large boards require multiple overlapping strokes.

Questions about this item

Does the felt pad on the 8473KF eraser generate any noise or heat when used continuously on a whiteboard?

The eraser has no moving parts and produces no heat; only a quiet, light friction sound occurs when the felt contacts the board.

What surface must I already have for the EXPO 8473KF to work as intended?

It is designed for dry-erase whiteboards; the replaceable 8-layer felt pad lifts marker ink from that surface.

Will the 4.5" x 9.1" tear-drop eraser fit in the tray of an older whiteboard that holds standard rectangular erasers?

The unique tear-drop shape is larger than many rectangular erasers, so check your tray dimensions before relying on it for storage.
