XL Snap Trap for Squirrels and Rats

The eXuby EXB-RTXL2 is a reusable snap trap sized XL for squirrels and rats. Each trap weighs 11 oz and measures 8 inches deep by 4.5 inches wide by 4.25 inches high. A powerful spring mechanism aims for a quick, humane kill without chemicals or poisons. The two-pack includes a user manual for straightforward setup in attics, gardens or forest edges.

Suits Homeowners Wanting Chemical-Free Reuse

This trap fits users who prefer a washable, hands-free disposal method and want to avoid toxins around pets or children. The simple press-to-set action helps those who dislike complicated mechanisms. Buyers needing live-capture relocation or electronic monitoring should look at other designs. It also does not suit situations where a larger entrance or multi-catch capacity is required.

Two-Trap Pack Handles Moderate Infestations

With two traps in the box, you can cover a pair of active runways or entry points at once. The 96% instant-kill rate reported by the manufacturer suggests strong performance on target rodents. Heavy or persistent populations may need more units or complementary methods. The XL opening handles adult squirrels and large rats, but smaller mice may not trigger the mechanism reliably.

Questions about this item

What bait should I have ready before setting the eXuby EXB-RTXL2 snap trap?

The trap ships empty, so you need to supply your own bait such as peanut butter, nuts or seeds to attract squirrels and rats.

Will the 8-inch by 4.5-inch footprint of the XL trap fit alongside standard rat traps I already use?

Yes, the assembled dimensions of 8 inches deep by 4.5 inches wide by 4.25 inches high are comparable to large snap traps, so it sits on the same shelves or ledges.

How do I confirm the spring is armed correctly after pressing the set bar?

When the set bar locks upright and the kill bar holds tension, the mechanism is armed; a light tap on the trigger plate should release it instantly.
