Brass heatsink for ThinkPad notebooks

This brass heatsink module is built for ThinkPad notebooks that use Delta fan assemblies. It replaces a worn or damaged cooler to restore factory thermal performance. The part suits repair technicians and owners servicing compatible models.

Brass construction conducts heat efficiently

Brass spreads heat quickly across the fin stack so the attached Delta fan can exhaust it. Buyers needing a copper core, heat-pipe layout or a different mounting pattern should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What does the brass construction mean for heat transfer inside my ThinkPad?

Brass conducts heat efficiently, helping the heatsink spread warmth from the CPU and GPU across a larger surface so the fan can exhaust it faster.

How does the fan connect to the laptop and what limits its speed?

It plugs into the standard 4-pin PWM header on the motherboard, and the board’s fan controller sets the maximum RPM.
