Replacement fan for ThinkPad X60S and X61S

This cooling fan is built for the Lenovo ThinkPad X60S and X61S notebooks. It replaces a worn or noisy original unit to restore proper airflow over the processor and chipset. The part fits the specific mounting points and connector used in those models. It is intended for owners of either laptop who need a direct drop-in replacement.

Compact assembly with integrated heatsink fins

The unit combines the fan motor with a radiator-style fin stack that sits against the CPU heat pipe. Its slim profile matches the tight internal clearance of the X60S and X61S chassis. The three-wire connector plugs straight into the motherboard header without adapters. Buyers needing a higher-CFM upgrade or a different voltage will not find those options here.

Questions about this item

Does this fan use the same connector as the original ThinkPad X60S and X61S cooling assemblies?

Yes, it is built as a direct replacement for the original X60S and X61S radiator and heat-sink fin units, so the connector matches the laptop's motherboard header.

Will this cooling fan fit inside the chassis of a ThinkPad X60S or X61S without modification?

It is shaped to the exact mounting points and fin layout used in the X60S and X61S, so it seats in the existing screw holes and clears the surrounding components.
