A USB 3.0 KVM switch lets two computers share four peripherals with one-button switching and 5Gb/s data rates
This KVM switch lets two computers share four USB 3.0 peripherals without unplugging cables or installing network-sharing software. It works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS through a driver-free, plug-and-play connection. A single button with LED indicators selects the active computer instantly. The unit includes a USB-C to USB adapter for broader device compatibility.
The switch eliminates the wear and inconvenience of repeatedly moving USB plugs between machines. It is worth adopting when two workstations regularly need the same printer, scanner, keyboard, mouse or storage devices. The hardware approach avoids the latency and configuration overhead of network-based peripheral sharing. No additional drivers or background services are required on either host.
The four downstream ports share a single 5 Gb/s upstream link per computer, so simultaneous high-throughput devices will contend for that bandwidth. Only two computers can be connected; a third host cannot be added. The micro-USB power port is optional and only needed when attached peripherals exceed the bus power budget. Video, audio or Ethernet signals are not supported.

Connect each computer to the switch using a standard USB cable; the unit provides four USB 3.0 ports for peripherals and includes a USB-C to USB adapter for newer ports.
Plug the optional micro-USB power cable into the dedicated port if the connected peripherals draw more current than the host ports can supply.
The external micro-USB power adapter or cable should be checked first, as the switch relies on that input for reliable button and LED operation.
