A shaded-pole HVAC motor rated 1/85 hp at 3000 rpm on 115 V AC with a 3.3 frame and automatic thermal protection
The FASCO D202 is a shaded-pole fan and blower motor rated at 1/85 horsepower and 3000 RPM on 115 V AC single-phase power. It draws 0.62 amps at full load and delivers 370 watts of output in a 3.3 frame size with a closed-base stud mount. The motor runs continuously at up to 40 °C ambient temperature with automatic thermal protection and Class B insulation. Clockwise shaft rotation when viewed from the shaft end suits direct-drive blower wheels in residential HVAC equipment.
Technicians replacing an exact-match 115 V shaded-pole motor in furnaces, air handlers or exhaust fans will find the correct speed, voltage and mounting pattern. Installations requiring 200 V or 208 V operation cannot use this motor because it is not usable at those voltages. Builders needing variable-speed control, reversible rotation or higher starting torque should select a different motor design.
The critical figure is the 115 V AC single-phase rating; the motor is explicitly not usable at 200 V or 208 V. Verify the nameplate voltage of the failed unit before ordering to avoid a mismatch that would prevent installation.

Secure the motor using the stud mounting pattern on the 3.3 frame, then verify the shaft rotation is clockwise from the shaft end (CWSE) before final tightening; reversing the leads on a shaded-pole motor will not change direction.
The open air-over enclosure relies on airflow for cooling, so keep the surrounding air path clean; the auto thermal protection will reset after overheating, but repeated trips at the 40 °C max ambient indicate worn bearings or blocked ventilation requiring motor replacement.
Continuous duty at 370 W output and 0.62 A on 115 V is rated for a maximum ambient temperature of 40 °C; exceeding that ambient is the first limit that triggers the auto thermal protection.
