Soft Wax Filler Refill Sticks Black 1 oz 10 Pack

This pack contains ten 1-ounce refill sticks of soft black wax filler from FastCap. The sticks are designed for filling and repairing holes and scratches in wood surfaces. They are intended for indoor use and work with the Softwax Kit system. Each stick measures 270 mm in length and 48 mm in width.

Wood repair professionals

The product suits anyone needing a sandable, black wax filler for wood touch-ups. It is not suitable for buyers who require a filler that cures hard for structural repairs. It also does not meet the needs of users working on non-wood materials such as metal or plastic. The sticks have no cure time and remain workable.

Coverage of 200 square inches per stick at 1/8

A single 1-ounce stick covers approximately 200 square inches when applied at a depth of one-eighth of an inch. This figure determines how many sticks a project will consume. The filler features a sandable finish and requires the Softwax Kit for application. No full cure time is applicable.

Questions about this item

How do I install the refill stick into the Softwax Kit, and what step do people often miss?

Insert the 1 oz stick into the kit's heater until the wax softens; the step many miss is waiting for full melt before pressing into the 200 sq in repair area.

What maintenance or replacement will the filler need after the repair is complete?

The sandable black wax requires no further maintenance; when the 10-pack is used up, simply purchase another 10-stick refill pack.

What limit appears first when using the filler continuously on large wood repairs?

Each stick covers 200 sq in at 1/8 in depth, so the coverage limit is reached before any cure-time restriction applies.
