Quick-Access File Storage

The Fellowes 69712 Workstation Step File II provides five graduated compartments for letter-to-legal documents. Its open wire construction keeps contents visible for fast retrieval. The unit suits home offices and shared workspaces that need compact, top- or side-load organisation. Black steel finish blends with existing furniture.

Desk Integration

The stepped wire frame occupies minimal surface area while holding folders, envelopes and booklets upright. Protective rubber feet prevent scratching on desks, shelves or credenzas. No assembly or mounting hardware is required; the file sits freely and can be repositioned as workflow changes. Steel construction supports daily handling without flex.

Durable Low-Maintenance Build

All-steel wire resists bending and is fully recyclable at end of life. Rubber feet dampen vibration from typing or equipment placed nearby. The open design avoids dust traps and needs only occasional wiping. No moving parts or power draw mean silent, maintenance-free operation.

Questions about this item

How much weight can each of the five stepped compartments hold before they bend?

The steel construction with rubber feet supports letter-to-legal files in all five graduated sections for daily top or side loading.

Does the open wire frame rattle or get hot when left fully loaded on a desk all day?

The all-metal wire design has no moving parts and no electronics, so it runs silent and stays at room temperature.

What tools or hardware are needed to start using the 69712 straight from the box?

No assembly or extra hardware is required; the rubber feet are already fitted and the unit sits ready on any flat surface.
