What this cable does

This 15 ft USB‑C 3.2 male‑to‑female extender carries data at up to 10 Gbps, delivers 60 W charging and passes 4K @ 60 Hz video when the host supports DP Alt Mode. It lets you place a phone, laptop, SSD or monitor farther from the source port without a shorter lead.

Who benefits and who does not

Users who need extra reach for a desk, bed or sofa setup will appreciate the length and the sturdy build that resists pet chewing. Buyers who require more than 60 W power delivery, full 10 Gbps throughput in noisy environments, or a cable shorter than 10 ft should consider a different solution.

The spec that decides fit

The cable is rated for 60 W charging and 10 Gbps data, but the supplier notes that actual transfer rates can drop to 5‑8 Gbps and video may fall back to 4K @ 30 Hz at the full 15 ft length. Confirm your device supports the required protocols before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 15 ft version or a shorter length for my setup?

The 15 ft cable reaches across a large room or from a sofa to a wall outlet. Shorter 3 ft and 10 ft options exist if you need less slack, while a 20 ft model is available for even greater distance.

What does the 10 Gbps rating mean when I copy files to an external SSD?

The 10 Gbps figure is a laboratory maximum. In real use, electromagnetic interference from routers or microwaves typically reduces throughput to 5–8 Gbps, so large transfers will take longer than the theoretical peak suggests.

How does the USB 3.2 interface limit video output at this length?

The cable carries USB 3.2 Gen 2 signals. At 15 ft the bandwidth may force a 4K 60 Hz signal down to 4K 30 Hz or 2K 60 Hz depending on the host GPU, and DisplayPort Alternate Mode must be supported on both ends.
