Purpose-built EDC flashlight
The Fenix LD22 is a compact AA-powered torch built around a Cree XP-G R5 emitter rated for 50,000 hours. It delivers a maximum of 200 lumens from two 1.5 V AA cells and measures 156 mm by 21.5 mm. The hard-anodised aluminium body weighs 60 grams without batteries and includes a reversible clip and anti-roll profile.
Suits single-cell minimalists, not high-output users
This light fits users who want regulated output, mode memory and a tail-cap momentary switch in a pocketable AA format. Four regulated levels from 3 to 200 lumens cover close work and short-range path finding. Buyers who need more than 200 lumens, longer turbo runtimes or rechargeable cells built into the body should look elsewhere.
Turbo runtime of two hours twenty-six minutes
At the highest 200-lumen setting the light runs for 2h 26min before stepping down. The 92-lumen high mode lasts 5h 59min, the 42-lumen mid mode 15h and the 3-lumen low mode 110h. This single endurance figure decides whether the LD22 matches the intended duty cycle.

Questions about this item
Does the flashlight come with the two 1.5 V AA batteries it needs, or must I buy them separately?
The light requires two 1.5 V AA batteries — Ni-MH or Alkaline — which are not included in the box.
Should I choose the 200 lumen Turbo setting or the 92 lumen High setting for longer run-time?
Turbo delivers 200 lumens for 2 h 26 min; High gives 92 lumens for 5 h 59 min, so High lasts more than twice as long.
What does the 200 lumen rating actually mean when I am using the light?
It is the maximum output on Turbo, regulated to stay constant until the batteries drop below the level needed to sustain it.
