Product identity and audience

The fenvi FV-BE5400 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 PCIe adapter coloured red. It uses the MT7925 network card to deliver BE5400 class speeds across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. Bluetooth 5.4 is integrated for peripheral connectivity. The card targets desktop builders running Windows 10 or 11 who want the latest wireless standard.

Who this suits and who it does not

This adapter suits owners of Intel or AMD desktop motherboards with a free PCI Express slot who need tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 on Windows 10 or 11. It is not for users of other operating systems, for systems lacking a PCI Express slot, or for buyers who require external antenna placement beyond the two included 6 dBi antennas.

The deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the PCI Express interface combined with Windows 10 and 11 driver support. If your desktop has an available PCI Express slot and runs Windows 10 or 11, the card can be installed; otherwise it will not function.

Questions about this item

Will the MT7925 network card require a firmware update to keep WiFi 7 performance stable?

The adapter runs on the MT7925 chipset with Windows 10 and 11 drivers from the FENVI website; no separate firmware step is mentioned.

Which tri-band link saturates first during a long 5400 Mbps transfer?

The 2.4 GHz band tops out at 574 Mbps, so it reaches its ceiling well before the 5 GHz or 6 GHz streams.

How warm do the two 6 dBi antennas get when the card runs all day at full throughput?

The specifications list no thermal data for the antennas or the card under continuous load.
