What this cable does

This Fervit USB4 cable carries 40Gbps data, 100W power and 8K60 or 5K60 video through a single USB-C connection. The 30cm angled plug keeps the cable close to the device, reducing strain on tight ports.

Who it suits and who it does not

It suits owners of USB4 or Thunderbolt3/4 laptops such as Mac Pro 2018, 2019, 2020, XPS or Chrome Book models that need a short, high-bandwidth link to a DP Alternate Mode monitor, dock or drive. Buyers whose monitors lack DP Alternate Mode or who need a longer reach should look at something else.

How it fits a setup

The cable draws up to 100W from the host to charge the connected laptop while driving an 8K or 5K display at 60Hz and moving data at 40Gbps. Its short length frees desk space and eliminates slack, but it requires the host port and display port to sit close together.
