M.2 NVMe to PCIe 4.0 adapter for 2260
This Fervit adapter converts an M-key M.2 NVMe slot on the motherboard into a PCIe slot. It accepts M.2 2260 and 2280 form factors and connects PCIe x4, x8, x1 or x16 cards. The actual transfer speed depends on the host M.2 interface.
Installation requires powered-off motherboard
A 12V/5V SATA power cord is included and supplies power only when connected. The ultra-thin, foldable PCB uses high-TG material with gold-plated fingers for reliable contact. The adapter does not support hot-plugging and must be installed with the motherboard powered off.
Sustained operation limited by host M.2 interface
The PCIe 4.0-labelled slot is backwards compatible with PCIe 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 but cannot deliver PCIe 4.0 throughput. Bandwidth under continuous load will match the speed of the source M.2 connection rather than the slot's maximum label.
