Power cable for 2.5 inch SATA drives
This USB 2.0 to SATA 15-pin Y cable delivers DC 5V power to a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive or SSD when a single USB port cannot supply enough current. It draws power from two USB ports and connects directly to the drive's 15-pin power connector. The cable is approximately 30cm long and uses pure copper conductors. No software driver is required for operation.
Check your drive size and power source
The cable only supports 2.5 inch SATA drives and will not work with 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch devices. Verify that your drive uses a standard SATA 15-pin power connector and that you have two available USB ports to provide up to 2A total current. This is a power-only cable and does not carry data signals.
Pure copper conductors and compact Y design
The pure copper cord ensures reliable power transmission to the drive. The Y-splitter allows the cable to draw power from two USB ports simultaneously, reducing the chance of voltage drop under load. At 30cm the cable keeps clutter low inside an enclosure or on a desk while reaching nearby ports. The moulded connectors withstand repeated insertion and removal.
