5 Gbps USB 3.0 angled panel cable
This 30 cm Fervit cable carries a USB 3.0 Type-A male plug on one end and an up-angled female Type-A port on the other. It is built for installers who need to bring a rear-panel USB 3.0 connection through a chassis wall or front-panel cut-out. The panel-mount flange accepts screws for a secure fit in metal or plastic enclosures. The short length keeps cable routing tidy inside compact cases.
Sustained 5 Gbps throughput with USB 3.0 hosts
When paired with a USB 3.0 host controller and a USB 3.0 device the link runs at up to 5 Gbps, which is 10 times the bandwidth of USB 2.0. The single-piece moulded construction prevents connector flex that can degrade signal quality over time. No active electronics are present so performance scales directly with the host and device capabilities. The angled female port reduces strain on the mated cable during long transfers.
Passive design draws no extra power
The adapter adds no active circuitry so it consumes no power of its own and produces no heat or noise. Voltage and current pass straight through from the host to the attached device within the USB 3.0 specification limits. The rugged moulded shell shields the contacts from dust and accidental impact in normal cabinet use. No fan or thermal management is required.

Questions about this item
Does the 30 cm cable draw extra power or run hot when left connected all day?
The cable is passive and carries only the power negotiated by the USB 3.0 host and device, so it adds no measurable heat or power draw during continuous use.
What must my chassis already have for the panel-mount end to fit?
A standard rectangular panel cut-out with screw holes matching the supplied mounting screws is required to secure the female Type-A connector.
Will this work with the USB 2.0 header on my older motherboard?
The connector is built to the USB 3.0 specification and will not mate with a USB 2.0 internal header; it needs a USB 3.0 Type-A panel opening.
