USB-C to DC 4.5x3.0mm PD trigger
This adapter converts a USB-C power source into a DC 4.5x3.0mm barrel output for compatible Dell laptops. It accepts a 65W or 87W USB-C charger through its female Type-C port. The built-in PD trigger negotiates 18V to 20V output and does not support 5V operation. The 90-degree angled connector reduces strain on the laptop port.
65W or 87W charger headroom
The adapter passes through 18V to 20V from a charger rated at 65W or 87W. The source charger must exceed the laptop's power requirement for stable charging. It cannot step up voltage or current beyond what the connected charger provides. Lower-wattage chargers will not trigger the required PD profile.
90-degree fit for tight spaces
The right-angle DC plug sits flush against the laptop side, clearing adjacent ports and desk edges. A USB-C female port on the adapter accepts any compatible 65W or 87W charger cable you already own. No additional drivers or software are needed for the PD handshake. The unit adds no data capability, only power conversion.
