What this adapter does
This Fervit adapter converts a USB-C Power Delivery source into a 12 V DC barrel output. The 90 degree angled plug suits tight clearance behind a laptop or monitor. It accepts a 65 W PD charger through its USB-C female port and delivers 12 V only via a 5.5×2.5 mm male connector.
Check your charger and device port
Verify that your USB-C charger supports 65 W Power Delivery and can negotiate 12 V output. The adapter will not provide 5 V, 9 V, 15 V or 20 V, so the connected device must require exactly 12 V. Confirm the laptop or peripheral uses a 5.5 mm outer diameter, 2.5 mm inner diameter DC jack with centre-positive polarity.
Replacing a proprietary power brick
This unit replaces a bulky original AC adapter when you want a single USB-C charger for travel or a dock. The step up is worthwhile if you already carry a 65 W PD charger and need to power a 12 V barrel device without a separate wall wart. It does not suit devices that need variable voltage or higher wattage than the charger can supply.

Questions about this item
Does the adapter come with a USB-C charger or do I need to supply my own 65 W PD charger?
The adapter only provides the USB-C female port and DC 5.5×2.5 mm plug; a 65 W PD charger must be purchased separately.
Is this the only voltage option or are there 5 V, 9 V, 15 V or 20 V versions of this adapter?
This model outputs 12 V only; it does not support 5 V, 9 V, 15 V or 20 V profiles.
Will my laptop charge at the full 65 W when I use this adapter with a 65 W PD charger?
The adapter negotiates a 12 V PD contract, so the actual power delivered depends on the charger’s 12 V current limit, not the 65 W headline figure.
