Purpose and audience
This Fervit adapter converts a USB-C Power Delivery source into a DC 7.4×5.0 mm barrel output for laptops that charge through that connector. It suits users who want to power or charge a compatible laptop from a high-wattage USB-C charger while monitoring live voltage, current and wattage on the built-in LED display.
Power limits and requirements
The adapter delivers up to 100 W at 20 V and 5 A, and also supports 65 W operation within an 18.5 V to 20.5 V range. To reach the 100 W maximum the connected USB-C charger and cable must each be rated for 100 W or higher; lower-rated sources will restrict output accordingly. The unit negotiates PD, QC 2.0, QC 3.0 and USB PD profiles through its Type-C male input.
Compatibility checks
Verify that your laptop uses a DC 7.4×5.0 mm barrel jack and accepts 20 V input before ordering. Confirm that your USB-C charger and cable are both rated for at least 100 W if you need the full 100 W output, otherwise the adapter will fall back to a lower negotiated power level. The plug-and-play design requires no drivers or configuration.
