Fervit USB4 40Gbps 13cm Cable
The Fervit USB4 cable delivers 40Gbps data transfer and 100W power delivery through a flat 13cm FPC design. It connects USB-C devices including laptops, tablets, phones and hard drives. Alloy-shell overmoulds protect the reversible connectors. Scalable 20V charging and USB 3.1 10Gbps fallback are supported.
For Direct Device Links Only
This short cable suits users linking two USB-C ports at close range such as a laptop to a dock or a phone to a drive. It does not reach across a desk or connect devices spaced further apart. Builders needing length for routing behind monitors or under desks should look elsewhere. The fixed 13cm span cannot be extended.
40Gbps USB4 Data Rate
The single specification that decides fit is the 40Gbps USB4 throughput. If the host and peripheral both operate at this rate the cable will not bottleneck the link. If either end tops out at 10Gbps or 20Gbps the extra headroom goes unused. Match the cable to the highest common speed of the two ports.

Questions about this item
What does the 40 Gbps rating deliver when the cable is connected to a laptop and external drive?
The cable can move data at up to 40 Gbps between compatible USB4 hosts and devices, so large transfers such as video projects or drive images finish in a fraction of the time required by slower links.
Which USB standard limits the 10 Gbps fallback speed and what does it cap in practice?
The USB 3.1 Gen 2 specification caps the fallback path at 10 Gbps, so if either end only supports that standard the link will not exceed 10 Gbps even though the cable itself is built for 40 Gbps.
Will the 13 cm flat cable with alloy-shell overmold fit between a phone and a portable SSD in a tight bag?
At 13 cm long with a slim flat profile and low-profile alloy-shell connectors, the cable bends easily and adds minimal bulk, making it practical for cramped setups such as a phone-to-SSD connection inside a small pouch.
