What this cable does
The Fervit USB-C cable delivers up to 80Gbps data transfer under the USB4 2.0 standard and carries 240W charging with an integrated E-marker chip. It also supports 8K video at 60Hz or dual 4K at 60Hz when the host port provides DP Alt Mode. The 1.6ft length keeps desk runs short and tidy.
Check your ports first
Verify that both ends of the connection use USB-C sockets and that the host side advertises DP Alt Mode for video. The cable negotiates down to 40, 20, 10 or 5Gbps automatically, but the full 80Gbps rate only activates with Thunderbolt 5 hardware. Power delivery falls back through PD 3.1, 3.0 or 2.0 depending on the charger.
Sustained load behaviour
The E-marker chip continuously monitors current and voltage up to 48V at 5A, preventing thermal throttling during long charging sessions. Data throughput remains stable at the negotiated link speed because the cable meets the USB4 2.0 electrical specification. Video streams at 8K60 or dual 4K60 without frame drops as long as the host controller maintains the required bandwidth.

Questions about this item
Does the 1.6ft cable include any adapters or do I need to buy them separately?
The cable is a single USB-C to USB-C cord with an integrated E-marker chip; no adapters are bundled so any required adapters must be purchased separately
Which Thunderbolt 5 or USB4 version should I choose to reach the 80Gbps data rate?
Select a host and device that both support USB4 Version 2.0 or Thunderbolt 5 at 80Gbps; the cable is backward compatible with 40, 20, 10 and 5Gbps links if either end is slower
What does the 240W rating mean when I connect my laptop to a monitor?
With a PD 3.1 charger and a laptop that accepts up to 48V5A the cable can deliver 240W while simultaneously driving an 8K@60Hz display or two 4K@60Hz screens provided both ports support DP Alt Mode
