Fine filter with 1 µm grade removes 99.99 % of particles at up to 950 l/min flow
The Festo MS6N-LFM-1/4-BRM-DA is a fiber filter designed to remove fine particles and oil aerosols from compressed air systems. It achieves a filtration grade of 1 µm with 99.99 % efficiency, delivering a maximum standard flow rate of 950 l/min. The unit features a die-cast aluminum housing with a plastic bowl guard and NBR seals, suitable for operating pressures up to 20 bar.
This filter suits installations requiring high-purity compressed air, such as food-industry applications where residual oil content must stay at 0.5 mg/m³. It is not intended for coarse particulate separation or bulk liquid removal where a pre-filter would be more appropriate. Buyers needing automatic condensate discharge should look elsewhere, as this model uses a manually rotating drain.
The filter provides two 1/4 NPT pneumatic connections, which determine whether it fits existing piping without adapters. The housing must be mounted vertically within a 5° tolerance for correct operation. Operating and ambient temperatures range from -10 °C to 60 °C, and the bowl holds up to 38 ml of condensate before manual draining is required.

Both pneumatic connections are 1/4 NPT, so you need matching 1/4 NPT fittings and sealant rated for up to 20 bar operating pressure.
The unit must be mounted vertically within ±5°; tilting beyond that prevents the manual rotating drain from evacuating the 38 ml condensate capacity.
Replace the element when the visual differential-pressure indicator shows a pressure drop approaching the filter's 99.99 % efficiency limit, typically after the rated service interval for your air quality class.
