10G BIDI SFP+ Transceiver for Single-Mode Links

This transceiver provides a 10 Gbps bidirectional link over a single strand of single-mode fiber. It is built for network engineers and integrators who need to extend 10G Ethernet, Fibre Channel, CPRI or OTN services up to 40 km. The module fits any SFP+ cage that accepts standard-compliant optics.

Tx 1330 nm / Rx 1270 nm Wavelength Pair

The optics use a 1330 nm DFB laser for transmit and a 1270 nm receiver, the specific wavelength pairing required for 10GBASE-BX 40 km operation. A matching module with the opposite Tx/Rx wavelengths must be installed at the far end, otherwise the link will not establish.

Commercial-Temperature Operation with Low Power Draw

The module draws power from a single 3.3 V supply and is rated for commercial temperature ranges. It conforms to the SFF-8431 MSA and SFF-8472 diagnostic interface, allowing the host system to monitor temperature, voltage and optical levels in real time.
