10G SFP+ passive copper cable

This one-metre passive DAC cable uses 30 AWG twinax conductors to carry 10 Gbit/s Ethernet, 1/2/4/8 G Fibre Channel and InfiniBand SDR through FDR-10 links. It plugs directly into two SFP+ ports without a separate transceiver. The assembly is hot-pluggable and draws power from the host’s 3.3 V supply. Compliance covers 10GBASE-CR and the SFF-8431/8432 SFP+ MSA specifications.

Network and storage links up to one metre

Suits rack-to-rack or intra-rack connections between switches, routers, servers, storage arrays or firewalls that present SFP+ ports and need a low-latency copper link. Not for runs longer than one metre, for fibre-only ports, or for speeds beyond the 10 Gbit/s Ethernet and 8 G Fibre Channel limits stated in the specifications.
