Copper RJ45 SFP+ 10G-T Transceiver

This module provides a 10 Gbps copper link over Cat.6a or Cat.7 cabling up to 30 metres. It fits any SFP+ cage that accepts standard-compliant coding. The unit is built for commercial temperature ranges and carries RoHS, REACH, CE, FCC, TUV and UL certifications.

Upgrade from 1 GbE copper links

Replaces 1000BASE-T transceivers when the switch, server or NIC has spare SFP+ ports and the cabling plant already supports Cat.6a or better. The jump is worth it when aggregate throughput regularly saturates 1 GbE uplinks or when latency-sensitive workloads need the higher line rate without rewiring.

30 metre reach on Cat.6a or Cat.7

Handles 10 Gbps full-duplex traffic across the full 30 metre specification with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X. Runs out when links exceed 30 metres or when the installed cabling is only Cat.5e or Cat.6. Not suited for fibre links or for distances covered by the 80 metre variant.
