Dynamic microphone for streamers and podcasters

The FIFINE AM8S is a dynamic microphone aimed at streamers, podcasters and voice-over creators who need clear speech capture without picking up room noise. Its uni-directional polar pattern focuses on sound directly in front of the capsule while rejecting off-axis sources. A 50Hz to 16KHz frequency response covers the vocal range with natural presence.

Adjustable metal stand and USB power

The package includes a height-adjustable heavy-duty metal stand that lets users position the mic at a comfortable angle for long sessions. Power is drawn from a 5V USB Type-C connection, so no external phantom supply or audio interface is required for basic operation. A 6.5ft cable provides enough reach for typical desktop layouts. Real-time monitoring through the built-in headphone jack lets you hear yourself with no latency.

XLR upgrade path for sustained use

For sustained professional work the AM8S also offers an XLR connection, allowing integration with mixers or dedicated preamps when USB power alone is not enough. The capsule handles a maximum SPL of 120dB at 1kHz with less than 1% total harmonic distortion, so loud voices or close-miked instruments stay clean during extended recording. A signal-to-noise ratio of 80dBA or higher keeps the noise floor low even when gain is raised for quiet passages.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the USB-C connection and the adjustable stand so the mic sits at the right height?

Connect the supplied 6.5 ft USB-C cable to the mic and your computer, then loosen the stand’s height adjustment, position the capsule level with your mouth, and tighten the clamp; the stand holds the mic steady without a separate boom arm.

What ongoing care does the dynamic capsule and foam windscreen need?

The dynamic capsule requires no phantom power or battery; wipe the metal grille with a dry cloth and wash the foam windscreen with mild soap and water when it collects moisture or dust.

At what sound-pressure level will the AM8S start to distort during loud streaming sessions?

The microphone is rated for a maximum SPL of 120 dB at 1 kHz with less than one percent total harmonic distortion, so close-range shouting or loud instruments stay clean.
