Premium Carbon Fiber Construction

The FiiO QX13 is a portable DAC amplifier built around a 21-layer stacked carbon fiber chassis that keeps the unit light while providing structural rigidity and a textured finish. It targets listeners who want desktop-class conversion in a form factor that can be carried daily without adding bulk.

Flagship ES9027PRO DAC Performance

An 8-channel parallel ESS ES9027PRO DAC paired with dual ES9312 ultra-low-noise regulators delivers studio-level signal accuracy through a 16-core XMOS processor. Six TI op-amps — four INA1620 and two OPA1692 — drive up to 900mW per channel in balanced desktop mode, keeping distortion low even at demanding volumes.

Magnetic Ecosystem and 10-Band EQ

A 1.99-inch IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shows real-time playback data and multiple UI themes, while a 10-band parametric EQ lets users shape frequency response without external software. The magnetic leather case secures the unit, and the optional E-Stick power bank extends portable sessions for desktop-style power on the move.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the QX13 to my computer and headphones, and which step do people skip?

Connect the QX13 to the computer with a USB-C cable, then plug headphones into the balanced or single-ended output; the step often missed is selecting the QX13 as the system audio device and enabling the 10-band EQ in the menu.

What part of the QX13 will need attention or replacement after extended use?

The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protector can be replaced if scratched, and the magnetic leather case may show wear on its attachment points over time.

What limit appears first when the QX13 runs continuously at high output?

The 21-layer carbon fibre chassis manages heat, but sustained 900 mW per channel balanced output will eventually trigger thermal protection, reducing power until the unit cools.
