Compact Power Extension

The FIRMERST XR-301 is a one-foot NEMA 5-15 extension cord rated at 14 AWG, 15 amps and 125 volts for up to 1875 watts. Its short length suits tight spaces behind furniture or equipment racks where a standard cable would coil excessively.

Ideal for High-Draw Appliances

This cord serves owners of microwaves, freezers, vacuums or washing machines that draw close to the 1875-watt limit and need a heavy-gauge link without extra slack. It is not for outdoor installations, permanent wiring replacements or any device requiring a grounded plug spacing that differs from the standard NEMA 5-15 layout.

14 AWG Rating Decides Suitability

The 14 AWG conductor thickness is the single figure that determines whether the cord can carry the load safely; a thinner gauge would overheat on the same appliances. Verify that the equipment nameplate does not exceed 15 amps or 1875 watts before connecting.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 1 ft XR-301 cord need behind furniture?

The 1 ft length is designed for tight spaces; allow enough room for the NEMA 5-15 plug and connector without sharp bends on the 14 AWG cable.

How do I install the XR-301 and what step is often missed?

Insert the NEMA 5-15 plug fully into the outlet and the connector into the device; the step often missed is verifying both ends seat completely so the 15 A rating is maintained.

When should I replace the XR-301 extension cord?

Replace it if the black jacket shows cuts, the plug blades are bent or discoloured, or the cord feels warm during normal 1875 W loads.
