Hook packs for saltwater and freshwater anglers

FishTrip octopus hooks come in packs of 50, 100, 120 or 210 pieces made from 1080 high carbon steel. The range spans 19 sizes from #10 to 9/0 with a strength rating of 11 to 110 lb. They suit anglers targeting species from trout and bass up to tuna, grouper, halibut and red snapper in both saltwater and freshwater.

Offset point and flat reinforced body

A 5 degree offset point is designed for rapid penetration and a wide gap that holds bait such as sardines, crabs, mackerel or squid securely. The flat, reinforced wire body delivers high tensile strength to withstand powerful runs. Circle geometry hooks the corner of the mouth, reducing deep hooking and supporting catch and release survival.

Replaces standard J hooks for live bait rigs

The design increases hook up rates by up to 90 percent compared to J hooks when fished on Texas, Carolina, Drop Shot or live bait presentations. Anglers who need ultra light wire for finesse presentations or specialised tournament patterns not covered by the 19 size range should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What hook sizes are available in the 19-size range from #10 to 9/0?

The series covers 19 sizes ranging from #10 up to 9/0, each built from 1080# high-carbon steel with a flat reinforced body.

What pack quantities can I choose for these octopus hooks?

You can select packs of 50, 100, 120 or 210 pieces depending on the listing option you need.

How do I rig the 5-degree offset point correctly for live-bait rigs?

Thread the bait so the wide gap and offset point sit clear of the bait body; the common mistake is burying the point, which stops the 90% hook-up rate design from working.
