Everyday cutting tool

These 8-inch scissors are built for general office, school and craft tasks. The straight stainless-steel blades handle paper, cardstock, cardboard, vinyl, tape, glue and photos. A non-stick titanium coating reduces gumming when cutting adhesive materials. The ergonomic SoftGrip handles are shaped for adult hands and long cutting sessions.

Simple maintenance

The screw hinge can be unscrewed so the blades separate for thorough cleaning. No special tools are required; a standard screwdriver fits the pivot. Re-assembly is straightforward — align the blades, insert the screw and tighten until the action feels smooth. Over-tightening will stiffen the cut, so stop when the blades glide freely.

Practical limits

The non-stick coating eases sticky residue but does not eliminate the need for occasional wiping. Titanium-finished stainless steel holds an edge well yet will dull faster on abrasive materials such as sandpaper or metal foil. The 28-centimetre overall length suits desktop use but may feel large for intricate detail work or small hands.
