Flashpoint AK-R21 Projection Attachment Kit for Zoom-Lion X, eVOLV200s, Speedlights

Projection Kit for Round-Head Flashes

The Flashpoint AK-R21 attaches to Zoom-Lion X, eVOLV200s and standard speedlights, letting photographers project patterns, textures or coloured shapes directly from a flash head. It turns a single light into a creative projector for portraits, still-life or fashion work without buying specialised fixtures. The kit ships new and includes a storage bag for transport.

Optical Limits of Flash Projection

The attachment focuses light through a lens and gobos, so output drops as the projection distance increases and the image circle widens. Sharpness depends on the flash head's Fresnel or round design and the gobo detail; very fine patterns may soften at the edges. Ambient light easily overpowers the projected image, so dim or controlled environments work best.

Build and Everyday Handling

A metal barrel and glass optics withstand repeated location use, while the bayonet-style mount locks onto compatible round heads and adapts to rectangular speedlights with the supplied bracket. The included bag holds the projector, lenses and gobos together, keeping small parts from disappearing in a gear bag. Setup is tool-free, but the assembly adds length to the flash, so tight spaces or low ceilings can restrict positioning.
