Precise Light Control
The Flashpoint BD-10 Barndoor Kit is a dedicated light-modification accessory built for the XPLOR 300 Pro monolight. It gives photographers and studio professionals a way to shape output, limit spill and create defined edges for portraits or product work. The four-leaf design allows each flag to be angled independently for targeted control.
Bundled Modifiers
The kit includes four gel filters in red, yellow, green and blue to shift colour temperature or add creative washes. A 20½ honeycomb grid narrows the beam spread for tighter, more focused illumination. Both filters and grid slot into the supplied filter holder, so changes can be made without tools during a session.
Secure Mounting
A two-piece adapter ring set locks onto the XPLOR 300 Pro reflector and the barndoor snaps directly on top. This interlocking system keeps the assembly stable when flags are repositioned. The design supports quick attachment and removal, helping maintain workflow speed in a studio environment.

Questions about this item
How often do the four barndoor flags or the 20° honeycomb grid need replacing?
The barndoor flags and grid are metal and do not wear out under normal studio use; only the gel filters may fade after extended exposure to the 300 W modelling lamp.
What limits continuous use — heat from the monolight or the adapter ring?
The XPLOR 300 Pro's own thermal protection activates first; the barndoor kit adds no active cooling and does not change that limit.
Does the kit add audible fan noise or extra heat when the light runs all day?
The kit has no fan and adds negligible heat; any noise or warmth comes from the monolight itself.
