Optical Spot Projection Attachment
The Flashpoint BFP Optical Spot attaches to any Bowens-mount strobe or continuous light to produce a focusable, projectable beam. Adjustable focus and an iris diaphragm slot let photographers and videographers shape hard-edged light patterns for tabletop, portrait or creative-effects work. A removable Bowens mount and lens-release button make lens swaps quick, while the included carry bag protects the unit during transport.
Studio shooters needing hard-edged projection
This attachment suits photographers and videographers who want precise, focusable spots or gobo patterns from a Bowens-mount fixture. It is not suited for users who need a wide, soft wash of light or who work exclusively with non-Bowens mounting systems such as Profoto, Elinchrom or bare-bulb fixtures without an adapter.
Bowens-mount optical projection accessory
The single deciding specification is the Bowens S-type mount, which determines whether the unit fits the strobe or LED head already in the kit. If the light uses a different mount, the attachment will not connect without a separate adapter.

Questions about this item
Does the optical lens or iris diaphragm need periodic cleaning or replacement?
The lens and iris diaphragm are built into the attachment; keep the glass clean with a microfibre cloth and avoid touching the blades, no scheduled replacement is required.
What limits continuous projection time when the attachment is mounted on a hot strobe?
The integrated thermovent dissipates heat from the light source, so the practical limit is the strobe or LED's own duty cycle rather than the attachment itself.
How much fan noise or extra heat does the attachment add during all-day shoots?
The unit has no fan and no electronics; it adds only passive heat transfer from the mounted light and runs silently.
