Perfect Fit for Canon 430EX II
The Flashpoint diffuser is moulded specifically for the Canon Speedlight 430EX II, so it locks on without tape or straps. Photographers who want softer light straight from the camera bag will find it ready in seconds. It adds no bulk that would interfere with bounce cards or gel holders. Buyers needing a universal fit for other flash models should look elsewhere.
Soft Bare-Bulb Effect
The translucent shell spreads the direct beam into a wide, even wash that mimics a bare bulb. Shadows lose their hard edges and skin tones render more naturally, especially at close range. No extra software, firmware or power source is required — just slide it on and shoot.
Portable Light Control
Weighing only a few grams, the diffuser slips into any pocket of a camera bag and deploys instantly on location or in the studio. It handles everything from event candids to tabletop product work where a single on-camera flash must look like window light. It cannot replace a multi-light studio kit or large modifiers when you need broad, directional coverage.

Questions about this item
Will the diffuser material on the Flashpoint FAFD40 yellow or need replacing after heavy use?
The diffuser uses high-quality materials built for durability, so yellowing or degradation is minimal under normal professional use.
What is the first limit you hit when firing the Canon 430EX II with this diffuser continuously?
The diffuser itself has no thermal limit; the bottleneck is the Speedlight's own recycle time and overheat protection.
Does the Flashpoint FAFD40 add noticeable weight or heat retention during all-day event shooting?
It is compact and lightweight, adding negligible mass and no measurable heat retention to the flash head.
