Compact Vintage Flash

The Flashpoint FlashBack Senior is a new on-camera flash that folds from a 5 x 2.5 x 2 inch clamshell into a full-size unit. It recreates the 1972 Automatic Speedlight with a 1930s reflector design for photographers who value classic aesthetics. The single-pin hot shoe trigger works across modern and vintage camera bodies without proprietary communication.

Broad Camera Compatibility

A single-pin hot shoe connection lets the unit mount on Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus and Pentax cameras as well as classic models from Exacta, Contax, Leica, Konica and Linhof. No TTL link is required; automation is f-stop related on the flash body itself. The circular 9-blade silver dish opens and closes to form the reflector, removing the need for a separate bounce card.

Manual Exposure Consistency

Once the lens is set to the suggested f-stop displayed on the flash, exposure remains accurate across frames because the automation does not depend on camera metering. The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion cell powers repeated full-power pops without disposable batteries. Output stability is maintained shot to shot since the circuit is not negotiating TTL pulses with the camera.
