Professional Light Stand for Studio and Location

The Flashpoint Pro Air-Cushioned Heavy-Duty Light Stand extends to 7.2 feet and supports loads between 13.1 and 14 pounds. Its aircraft-grade aluminium construction balances strength with lightweight portability. The air-cushioned mechanism lowers mounted gear gently to protect against sudden drops.

For Photographers Needing Versatile Mounting Options

This stand suits creators who require both perpendicular and horizontal mounting via the reversible 1/4"-20 to 3/8" screw on a 5/8" stud. It accommodates lights, modifiers, speedlights and brackets. Buyers needing greater height or higher load capacity should consider other solutions.

Verify Your Gear Compatibility Before Ordering

Confirm your lighting equipment uses 1/4"-20 or 3/8" threads and does not exceed the 14-pound limit. Ensure the 5/8" stud matches your brackets or adapters. Check that the 7.2-foot maximum height fits your shooting space and ceiling clearance.

Questions about this item

What thread size does the 5/8" stud on this Flashpoint light stand accept for my light fixture?

The reversible stud provides both 1/4"-20 and 3/8" threads, so it fits most speedlights, LED panels, brackets and modifiers directly.

Will the air-cushioned columns on this 7.2' stand protect my heavier 14 lb strobe if a knob loosens?

Yes, the air-cushioning slows the descent of any load up to the 13.1 to 14 lbs capacity, preventing sudden drops.

How can I confirm the stand is level and stable on an uneven floor after I set it up?

Extend the three aircraft-grade aluminum legs fully, plant the rubber-tipped feet firmly, and check that the column rises vertically without wobble.
