Studio boom arm for overhead lighting
The Flashpoint wall-mounted boom arm gives photographers and videographers an overhead lighting solution that keeps the floor clear. It telescopes from 2.5 to 4.4 feet and supports 8.1 to 9 lbs of equipment such as strobes or LED panels. Dual stabilizing tubes add rigidity while the arm collapses flat against the wall when not in use.
Fixed wall mount with aluminium construction
The arm bolts directly to a wall so there is no stand to position or level. High-quality aluminium with a black finish resists wear in daily studio use. Because the mount is stationary, the only movement comes from the telescoping section, which stays put once locked at the chosen length.
Removable 5/8" spigot with dual threads
A 5.8-foot spigot is included and inserts from either the top or side of the arm. One end carries 1/4"-20 male threads and the other 3/8"-16 male threads, letting you attach lights, backgrounds or accessories without extra adapters. The spigot removes completely when you need a clean mounting point.

Questions about this item
How do I mount the boom arm to the wall and what step is often missed?
Secure the base to wall studs using appropriate hardware for the 5.8-foot arm, then insert the removable 5/8" spigot from the top or side — ensure the 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 male thread matches your light's mount before tightening.
What parts will need checking or replacement over time?
Inspect the telescoping tubes and locking collars for wear, verify the 5/8" spigot threads (1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16) remain clean and undamaged, and confirm wall anchors stay tight under the 8.1–9 lb load range.
At what extension does the arm reach its rated load limit first?
The boom supports up to 8.8 lbs at the full 4.4-foot extension; at the minimum 2.5-foot length it handles 8.1–9 lbs, so the 4.4-foot position is where the capacity ceiling appears first.
