Yellow Collar Air-Cushioned Light Stand

The Flashpoint Pro stand extends to 13 feet and uses a yellow collar for quick visual identification on busy sets. Its air-cushioned columns protect mounted equipment from sudden drops during height adjustments. The reversible 1/4"-20 and 3/8" screw on a 5/8" stud accepts lights, modifiers, speedlights and brackets in perpendicular or horizontal orientations. Rubber-tipped feet add stability on smooth floors.

Tool-Free Setup With Large Locking Knobs

Oversized knobs provide extra leverage so sections tighten securely without finger pinching, even with cold or gloved hands. Variable tension control lets you dial the exact drag needed for each column. The only common issue is forgetting to loosen the tension knob before forcing a section, which can strip the internal collet. Always verify the reversible stud is locked in the desired orientation before mounting heavy heads.

13-Foot Height Limit and Single-Stud Interface

Maximum working height is 13 feet; taller overhead rigs require a different support system. The single 5/8" stud with reversible threads cannot accept two fixtures simultaneously without an additional adapter. Load capacity is constrained by the column diameter and leg spread, so very heavy strobes or large softboxes may exceed safe limits. Wind outdoors will topple the stand unless it is sandbagged.
